Hong Shao Rou

Hong Shao Rou
Kind of bland, oddly. Maybe add a tablespoon of molasses and one of vinegar? Use more ginger, too, needs a lot to cut through the other flavors.

150g pork
1 tsp corn starch
1 tbsp neutral oil
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
ΒΌ cup white wine
Knob of ginger
2 star anise pods
1 tangerine peel (fresh or dry. Any citrus peel will work!)
.5 tsp chili powder
1 tsp sesame oil

Start the pork marinating in the mixed ingredients
Brown an onion
Add the marinated pork
Easy with rice
